How Long Does Wax Last For?
Traditional carnauba wax looks beautiful and gives a warm glow to the paint upon application, temporarily filling minor scratches for a deeper gloss. However, it is the shortest lasting of all the paint protection options. In heavy rains, it may only a month, while a garaged vehicle may be protected for several months. If you are looking for longer lasting protection, opting for a sealant or ceramic application may be more suitable.
Why Are Ceramic Coatings So Expensive?
Ceramic coatings fetch their price because they are one of the most durable paint protection options, with most rated anywhere from 4-7 years. Another layer to the pricing is that typically the car should be polished beforehand since you are locking in the appearance of the paint for several years.
